Why this exists.
Pickr Media (pickrmedia.com) is an independent publisher of business rankings: who to pick in a category, and why, with every business scored on the PICKR Rating.
Picking a company is mostly guesswork. You get three quotes that look the same, a wall of reviews you cannot tell apart, and no way to know which one will actually turn up. Pickr is the answer to that.
What we publish
Two things. Rankings — who we would pick in a category, and why. And guides to choosing well, for the moment you are staring at three quotes and cannot tell them apart.
Every business we write about carries a PICKR Rating: a score out of 10, built from five criteria worth 100 points: quality of the work, reliability, value, what other customers say, and credentials. The same rubric every time, so the numbers mean something across articles.
Nobody pays us to write about them
We are never paid to write about a business. We do not accept payment for placement, we do not sell listings or sponsored entries, and we never approach the companies we cover asking for money. There is nothing to buy on this site and nothing a company can do to appear on it or to move up. No business sees an article before it is published, and no business can have one changed except by showing us that a fact is wrong.
That is the whole arrangement. Just the articles.
