How to choose a THC vape: Bud Bros Big Cloud 2G

Almost every THC vape is sold on one number printed on the front, and that number is close to useless for predicting whether you will like it. Here is what actually decides it, in the order it matters. Adult use, 21+.

· How we rank · Nobody paid to be here

1. Can it recharge?

This is first for a reason. A two-gram tank on a non-rechargeable battery is a design that expects to fail — the cell will not reliably empty the tank, and when it dies you are throwing away oil you paid for. USB-C on a disposable is not a luxury feature, it is the difference between getting what you bought and getting most of it.

2. What is the coil made of?

Ceramic coils heat more evenly and are far more forgiving at the bottom of the tank, where thicker oil and a hot coil produce the burnt taste people blame on the oil. Cotton-wick is cheaper and is the usual culprit when the last quarter is unpleasant.

3. Which oil, and do you actually like it?

Live resin, distillate blends and liquid diamonds are different products, not grades of the same one. Live tends to taste closer to the plant; liquid diamonds run higher in potency and thicker. Neither is better in the abstract. A brand offering several lets you find your preference without starting over somewhere else.

4. Is testing per batch, or per product?

This is the one that separates a real operation from a label. Per-product testing means one COA stands in for everything ever made under that name. Per-batch means the specific cartridge in your hand traces to its own result. Look for a batch code on the box that resolves to a published COA.

5. Can you see how much is left?

A display sounds like a gimmick until the first time a vape dies with no warning. It is the cheapest possible fix for the most annoying failure mode.

9.7/10
PICKR RatingTop pick

Measured against the five tests above it clears all of them, which is rarer than it should be. USB-C rechargeable on a genuine two-gram tank, so the battery is not the limiting factor. Ceramic coil rather than cotton-wick. An LCD display, so it does not die without warning. Live, Fuzion and Liquid Diamonds across 21 flavors, so the oil style is a choice rather than whatever the brand happened to make. And testing is published per batch, not one COA standing in for a product line. Stated potency is 85%+. Arizona born and bred since 2019.

What we could not verify

  • We found no independent aggregate review score (Google, Leafly, Weedmaps or similar) to corroborate the customer-evidence component.
  • Potency of 85%+ THC is the brand's stated figure; we have not independently assayed a cartridge.
  • Batch COAs are published by the brand; we have not had a sample third-party retested.

The short version

Recharges, ceramic coil, an oil type you have actually chosen, per-batch testing, and some way to see the level. A vape that does all five costs a little more and wastes a lot less.
